Cricket Canada thanks Scotiabank as sponsorship ends

As of December 1, 2009 Cricket Canada’s partnership with Scotiabank has come to an end.  On behalf of Cricket enthusiasts across the country, Cricket Canada wishes to thank Scotiabank and their contribution to cricket in this country and around the world.

Interim Cricket Canada President Ranjit Saini

Interim President Ranjit Saini thanked Scotiabank for their contributions.  “Much has been achieved in the past 2 years of Canadian Cricket and we were happy to have Scotiabank with us on this journey.  It was unfortunate that we could not come to an agreement on the last proposal for a new three year deal but feel that ultimately this was in the interest of both parties to go our separate ways.  We wish them the best.”

Cricket Canada has soared to unprecedented heights in the past 2 years of becoming a power in Associate, U19, U15, and Women’s cricket as well as making bold moves off the field to reviatalize the game in Canada.

Currently the organization is embarking on an infrastructure and athlete development initiative that will help bring the highest levels of the game to every corner of the country.  “2010 will bring a fresh new look to Cricket Canada as well as some bold new initiatives that will cement the game into Canada’s culture from the grassroots level.  There is much to look forward to and much more to be done.” concluded Saini.
